Again...how is this funny?? This is very similar to what US Marine recruits and Army trainees actually go through when attempting a military confidence course. I know because I was an Army Drill Sgt who demonstrated it and then ran trainees through the course.

In Germany, we always meant and thought, that this description and especially the opstacle-course is much overdone or too goofy, to be better for cinema. And in reality, Sgt. Hartman with the german speak, with this much stronger "tirade", would have died by blood-pressure.

Let me assure you, although you may think it overdone, no one going through the confidence course thought it was goofy....and the Drill Sgt's 'Tirade" had serious purpose.
