I think that there is already a thread on members that have gone missing, but I could not find it.

I was wondering what is up with Tom, not seen anything from him for some time, is everything ok with him ? did I miss something ?

Everything seems to be going quite well for Tom and his girlfriend. He is active on Facebook. Tom and his family seem to have been quite busy with remodeling a house for him almost from the ground up. It turned out very nice. I'm hoping he returns to posting here when things get back to normal.

HD, thanks for the update, I do rember Tom looking for a House to buy so that explains things. I have been through buying a house and "ground up" re-moldeling a couple of times so I know what that means

I am as well originally from Indiana, I grew up ( starting at age 9 ) in Monroeville Indiana which is near Fort Wayne.

I should mention that we sometimes had Falstaff as well since there was a Falstaff brewery in Fort Wayne. I can't rember if Falstaff was good or bad though.

I remember my dad drinking his fair share of that stuff when I was growing up. Most of the time his beer of choice was Sterling. I haven't seen either of those in decades.
Schlitz showed up in the fridge often enough, too, and When I was younger, I knocked back my own fair share of it, too. That, and Carling's Black Label. I can't remember the last time I saw either of those either. Or any Old Milwaukee.

Maybe in honor of Tom we should dedicate this thread to all those classic brews that have disappeared from the shelves.

Falstaff was one of the worst beers I ever tasted back in the '60s. Much rather drink a cold PBR for sure (both popular here at the time). A few years ago I had several Keystones at a party (only beer available). Gawd awful stuff as well. Thanks but no thanks...
