Hey Kid, how was the Stokkebye's ? You don't see Mexican burley's used too often. I've been on a C+D kick lately....Da Vinci has been my favorite lately......a great smoke !!Peter Stokkebye's English Oriental Supreme. First time with a Stokkebye tobacco. I'll try Stokkebye's Cube Cut this afternoon.
Yesterday, Second Breakfast from Country Squire.
It's light, no burn, from Country Squire Tobacco's Middle Earth line; aromatic, with vanilla and mapleNice choice of name, I'd give that a go. How is it?
I tend to prefer aromatics, myself. Used to quite enjoy Brown Study from the Chap magazine folks (sadly, it's not currently available), but nowadays I pretty much exclusively smoke Creme Brule, custom mixed for Seagar's Snuff Parlour in Covent Garden.

I think I judged the Navy Rolls too hastily. Having smoked lat heavy blends all week my palate was not ready to review this blend. So after a days break I tried the Rolls again. They say the third times the charm........they were rite!! I must say I like the Navy Rolls. Very nice taste and after taste. Not mild but medium strength, burns nicely and was an enjoyable smoke.Just tried another bowl of the Dunhill just to see maybe it was me. Awful !! No taste whatsoever...was just warm steam/ weak cigarette taste. It might be good to use to break-in a pipe just to get rid of it...
Charlie, I've never used a pipe travel bag. My pipes were usually stuck around in pockets, luggage, vehicles, etc. I have had various kinds of tobacco pouches thru the yrs, most were rubber lined. Nowadays I may carry more than one type of tobacco so I use Ziplok baggies & usually stuff those into a bigger pouch.Anybody here ever use or think they would use a pipe smokers' travel bag? I've been a casual pipe smoker for years, and some time ago came across a beautiful Longchamp leather "bag" for four pipes and a tobacco pouch. Still in its original box, I've never found myself making use of this "luxury" item, making me wonder if this was just an idea of someone who sells leather goods, but doesn't imbibe in pipe smoking. Just seemed like another thing to take along. Thoughts, anybody?
