You're right, Al. The crease will just be smaller.

VS (Vintage Silhouette) Wanderer (in a granite beaver hued felt with matching ribbon treatment). I like the crease on this felt to maximize the height at the front of the crown with this hat. It gives front visual appeal and makes the eye seek the vent features on the sides.

Some hats just call out for a center crease.
This is one such hat. Imho
