What do you think of these shoes?

I've never worn saddles before, but at the risk of having someone else on FL who wears a 13B snipe me on this auction, I'll ask your opinion.

Are they a reasonably vintage look?

Yea, I think they are kinda vintage, they look like vintage golf shoes without spikes.

Android, they're vintage looking for sure but they don't look like suede to me-
matte finished leather looking like nubuck but probably not 'buck.
Actually, a pair of white bucks is SO cool and vintage.

Yes, you're right. AE's are nubuck.

They are good for the sporty casual look. The part that makes them a classic staple is the orange rubber soles -- that is if theyare rubber and not a plastic composit.

I like 'em.

They're vibram.
I could also get the non-saddle version, but I'd have to pay for a new pair.

Great shoes, and look to be in great condition. Being Allen Edmonds the quality will be top notch, too. They're a steal at that price and in a rarely seen size, too.

My saddle oxfords are the more traditional brown suede on white, they're by Footjoy, some models of which are made by Allen Edmonds. I bought mine on ebay as well. It's just about time to pull them out.
