For the last couple of years, Vodka (Skyy) on the rocks but more recently Scotch (Black Label), neat.

I like Wild Turkey, neat, as well.

I gave up Tequila in the eighties.;)

When it's time for cocktails a gimlet made properly with gin not vodka is my drink. I also enjoy a good gin and tonic. When at the pub its Guinness or Bass , yet I'm always willing to try something new. Other than that various wines and champagne on occasion.

This past year we've been working on Mojitos when the weather's been hot.

I have had a few Manhattans recently and like them with Jim Beam Black Label, Knob Creek and occasionaly with Gentleman Jack. At the Cicada Club they do it up with Maker's Mark and that ain't bad.

Last time I was out someone ordered a Whiskey Sour and it has me thinking about it now. Maybe next time out.

Single malts of all styles but...the Islay scotches are my favorites, with Laphroig being at the top. Talisker from the Isle of Skye (went there this summer and picked up a bottle after a tour of the distillery) is also quite fine. White Horse is a good blended scotch whisky as its base is Lagavulin; one of the heaviest of the Islay malts and it permeates the blend well.

And only neat by the way, air and a warm glass; thats the way to go!

1. Most of the time I drink beer. Not real particular, just kinda whatever's available that appeals to me at the time. This can run the gamit from Natural Light, to Red Stripe (especially with Cuban food), to Newcastle.

2. Once in a while, I'll drink spirits, Gin and Tonic or the occassional boat drink in the summer. 7 and 7 in the cooler months.

3. For non-alcoholic, Cuban coffee and English breakfast tea and in the heat of the summer few things are better than lemonaide or sweet tea.

Absinth for me when I want that warm glowy feeling or else a brown cow...,on a cold wet winter night I like a fat little glass of white port with crushed ice and a slice of lime

I use to drink Southern Comfort and Coke and before that was Cinzano and lemonade.

Hmmm... it really depends on the situation...

If I'm just going out locally with friends I'll drink Southern Comfort with lime and lemonade, Tia Maria and coke or sometimes a G&T :D I love sweet drinks!

A sweet white wine, nothing too dry for me.

Baileys... with ice cream and a mushy old film and chocolate :D can't go wrong...

Never turn down a glass of Pimms of course!

And champagne on special occasions :) but I'm very very fussy about champagne. I can't stand the cheap stuff my family buy occasionally. It just tastes... wrong! Fancy meals out with the grandparents are the way to go! They always get the tasty stuff

There are others, but I won't list them! It's already a fairly long list... and yet I hardly ever drink really... REALLY!

For me it's small batch, single barrel whiskey. Several come to mind but all must be served on the rocks. Blanton's, Jefferson's Reserve, Basil Hayden, Russell's Reserve....all excellent choices. Cheers!

I've gotten hooked on Hot Buttered Rum this winter.

Reminds me of a line from the TV show, Lovers and Other Strangers, Penny Marshall is at a Ski resort and is annoyed at her BF who is laid up because he slipped when they first arrived getting out of the car. After spending a long evening at the bar, she comes back to his room and announces that she had a whole bunch of Hot Buttered Rums then adds: "Not only am I drunk, I'm greasy!"lol

When we saw the cold front coming our way we stocked up on Buttered Rum batter and Captain's. Let it snow.
OK, Rachael, it's time to spill the beans. What Buttered Rum Batter do you recommend? THere's a cold front moving in tonight. I'll need it soon! :)

that's the one! I have a lot of good childhood memories of Bremerton, and am happy to fraternize a business from there. Besides, it's really really good. I added a bit of coffee to mine tonight just for variety; freezing rain tonight.
