what colour

hi all,
I have this jacket, just finished altering to fit..what colour trousers, tried black, didn't look right, slim fit don't work

WOW! Very very sharp! I would tend to think blue trousers would work very well with that. I love the colors and pattern on that jacket. And as much as some times a double breasted jacket seems to hang like a sack, this one is so nice in how it will conform to the shape of your body. It will be a killer look for you no doubt!

Navy blue. With eithef a full seat and thigh to a wide ankle, forties style, or the same but with a pegged in ankle, early mid-fifties style.

I'd wear dark blue gabs.

It's my experience that blue goes very well with brown. The contrast is fun. So I support the general consensus.

Wait for the summer and pair it with white flannels.

Wide 30-40's slacks of solid color.
Blues, greys, browns and white would work all.
I'd go for brown and pick up the color of the checks.

Cadet blue 1930s style trousers with cuffs as they are one-off odd trousers. They are great stand by items anyway, and look excellent with plaid and tweed sports coats in the brown through gray through green range, and also look wonderful with a navy blazer, depending upon the saturation (richness) of the colour.
