This worked for me. Just finely misted the entire hat band with warm water bow/ribbon and all. Made sure the entire band was evenly saturated. Water stains blended completely into the band. When dry the band color remained exactly the same shade of medium brown. White vinegar made it worse,staining a larger area and corn starch didnt work at all. Also lightly and evenly misting the entire hat with the very fine mist helped return the flange and bash to factory specs. Hat was a Stetson Windham.
