I couldn't find a section for wanteds and didn't want to hijack your classifieds so apologies if this is not the right place.
I got a cheap Dunn & Co top hat to have a go at restoring. I'm looking for pale grey grosgrain ribbon for the rim (the glue has seeped through the original) Does the new ribbon have to be glued on too? Is there a way to prevent the seepage or is it just age that has made this visible? I'm in England but will buy from abroad.
It also has a scuff to the top edge, it's partly colour transfer and partly that the felt has been squashed, so is now flat and shiny there. Is there anything that can be done to improve this?
