Vintage Silk Suit - Extra Large

We often hear the larger gentlemen complaining that there are few vintage suits out there in large sizes. This has a 48 inch chest:

The vendor thinks it's 1930s although the lapels and cut made me think it might be 1950s.

Yes, late 40's to early 50's and German/Austrian. The trouser details (type of fob-flap and buttoned elastic side straps) are post-1940.
