vintage eyebrow help

hello everyone i used to get my eyebrows done by this lovely women but she got busy and her work slipped, so i stared to do my own, I'm in love with the 20s and 30s but i really don't want to puck my eyebrows down to nothing to have to redraw them back on. i have thick dark eyebrows that look great when shaped correctly. i was hopping someone knew of some good instruction on how to do vintage style eyebrows without plucking them baled or making them too sharp and harsh. i like a natural look haha i don't like to look shocked all the time haha so if anyone could help me what would be amazing ))))

If you don't want to pluck your brows, you can flatten your eyebrows down by using a few layers of soap (or a glue stick), apply concealer/foundation and then redraw your eyebrows back on after you've blended everything out. You can find tutorials on how to do it on YouTube. I'm really bad at redrawing eyebrows so I'm not sure I could help you there, but YouTube should have a lot of tutorials for drawing 1920s eyebrows.

thank you so much that sound like it would work for when i do photo shoots i also need something i can be worn everyday i have really thick eyebrows and they r dark like people think i use eyebrow pencil already when i don't lol

Eyebrows varied from era to era so once you settle on what shape is best for your facial features, really the best way to shape your own brows at home is to use a stencil. You will use a dark brow pencil to fill in the shape of your would-be-brows and pluck any strays outside of those lines. Much better than free hand (trust me, I learned the hard way and it took a couple of years for my brows to recover!) and once you have your shape down, routine maintenance on strays should be a breeze. Since you said 30s is more your "thing" and that you have naturally thick and full brows, you may not even need pencil after shaping...just use a smudge of vaseline (very 20s/30s!) or clear mascara to hold unruly hairs in place and go!

I think the secret is doing it in small stages over time and been comfortuble with how you look at each stage and seeing if you want to go closer to the 20's style or not .. I think you could go thinner without looking out of place BTW , Just depends upon how period correct you want to be or how brave you are.

thank you for all your help everyone, now i just ask one more favor, can anyone find pictures of 1920s eyebrows that aren't too too thin, all the ones i seem to find are like drawn on (i know that was common but i know that wasn't the only look either haha), i really don't want to have to use eyebrow pencil, my eyebrows are naturally thick and dark (sadly hahaha), but my eyebrows shape really good when done right, I really want to have it era correct, but I really really don't want it too thin so I look like my creepy great-aunt hahaha, if anyone can help that would be great!!!

Edit: Regardless, the photo I posted shows a nice definition, which I know can be attained with some shaping and a pencil; no shaving needed!
