The hat is a silver belly, Sized 7 5/8. It can be resized down to 7 3/8, and up to 8+. ( I wear both 7 5/8 and 7 3/4 comfortably)
Total refurb by GT at Optimo, washed it completely, hand sewn a new leather headband, new silk ribbon, and new stitching. The original Borso silk and logo is intact. This hat is the most supple hat I own, and can literally be blocked in any style by hand with ease. It is lightweight, and is a 4 season hat.
Very warm in winter, very light in summer. Graham estimates that the hat was made in the 1940's. This is a rare opp to own a VTG Borsalino Alessandria in a hard to find size (xl-xxl) that has been redone by one of the worlds greatest hat makers. Not that it really matters, but if you like
Johnny Depp's hats, this is the make and era he wears.
