Hi Everyone,
I am testing the waters to see if there is any interest in this jacket. I wouldn't be heartbroken if I didn't sell it, but it is a really nice jacket and I would be happy to see it go to someone who will wear it more frequently than I do.
This is a size 38 Vanson Model B cafe racer in Octagon brown. I bought this almost a year and a half ago and its a really nice looking jacket. Full disclosure, in an attempt to soften it (as futile as it was) I did use some Otter Wax natural leather conditioner and some stuff called leather revive I use on some of my other leather items. I also tried to run it in the dryer on the lowest setting with towels to help the break-in. I never did a water treatment or anything, but I know some people aren't into using any kind of conditioner on their jackets, so I wanted to be full disclosure on that. In the end, it doesn't seem a whole lot different than before, maybe a hint darker, which is something I personally like about it. It has developed some nice grain, but there is still quite a bit of work to do on the break-in process.
The leather itself is in great shape and is Vanson's competition weight. It has a few small marks as to be expected with normal wear which i tried to highlight in one of the pictures. This jacket fits me well and for a 38 it seems to be a bit roomier than my size 40 Aero Board Racers. I have the zip in fleece lining for this which I will include, but I have never used it, so that may be why I can layer under this a little better than my board racer.
I will sell this for $350 shipped in the CONUS to lounge members.
Back Length: 25"
Shoulders: 18.5"
Pit-to-Pit: 20.5"
Sleeves: Approx 26" - Sleeves, at least to me, are always tough to measure. The sleeves on my BR are 27.5 and go over my palm where is this barely goes over my palm and stops more at the wrist.
