USMC/Promotional Sun helmet show off or DIY.

There is a Pith Helmet thread if Doom for proper, or at least close to proper pith helmets. But the pressed fiber sun helmet used by the USMC since 1934 and countless civilian use has not got any love - yet. I intend to buy one or at least the modern iteration to make my own graffitied or promotional sun helmet.

Had one of these for a Doctor Gonzo costume at a time, but I think it got moved on long ago. Solid plastic, bit like a building side hard hat in construction.

There is an old timer in my neighbourhood that wears one for his afternoon/evening walk during the summer. That beige USMC pressed fiber sun helmet. Ironically from a distance it looks like a Tilley.
