US Authentic size 38 measurements

Anyone have a US-A A2 jacket in size 38? What measurements do you have for chest across (pit-to-pit) and for the shoulders?

The more measurements the merrier. Long story, but I'm starting to suspect that the variances might be significant.

A few years ago I enquired about sizing for a 39 chest and I was told to go with a size 38.

They go a bit loose around the torso. I ordered a 46, feels like a 48+.
