It is really just your standard fedora with a bound brim. 5" open crown, 2 1/2" brim. It looks to be a fur felt but a bit hard to discern. If you want to replicate it inexpensively look at the Akubra either the Stylemaster or the Sydney. One of them comes open crown and you can put your own bash in it to suit and don't bother snapping the brim down.
I agree that it looks a lot like an Open Road. Too bad we can’t see the entire crown and its ribbon. It looks like a very common hat style that was/is made by lots of makers.
I thought Stylemaster/Sydney as its crown has more taper than the Campdraft and I wear my Sydney with the brim up...just seems to call out to be worn that way. Also, the felt in my Sydney is quite soft and easy to bash/squish....moreso than my much stiffer Campdrafts.
