One Too Many
Look what I found at a market for 2 bux,

this is a 1945 issue Pulp, (and I use the word advisedly, it's all paper) Novel, about a PI, written and printed in Australia, but as was the custom here in those days, set in Chicago. They never set them here, believing apparently that no-one would read about local PI's and gangsters. I've never seen or heard of a local PI hero from the Golden Era, which is of course why I invented one, but that's another story.

I'm The Wolf and I'm a pulp addict

I own quite a few original pulps. Doc Savage is what started me. I own about 20 some-odd issues. One Shadow. three or four Phantom Detectives. All sorts of others. Even one that has a story by a man named L. Ron Hubbard about some swarthy man terrorizing an innocent blonde woman.
I also buy reprints and reproductions.
The originals are great not only for the original art but also the editorials and golden age ads.
One of these days I'm gonna have write about the Doc Savage pulps here.;)

Sorry to hi-jack your thread, Dr Greg. let us know how the story is.

Sincerely,
The Wolf
