Today marks the Start of the Eastern Hurricane Season

It is thought that this year the action will be greatest on the Atlantic side and rather less so in the Gulf de Mexico. We are in a cycle known as The ongoing Atlantic multi-decadal signal and we are expected to experience true Golden Era storm activity yet again.

Please keep those in the zones most likely to be affected in your thoughts and hearts. To those of us under the gun; stay smart and be prepared. Stuff is only stuff, Life is all.

The Archbishop of New Orleans and his suffragan bishops in the Province of Louisiana have called on Catholics to fast today, the first Friday in June and in hurricane season, to beseech God's Mercy on us at this critical year in our existence as a community. I, for one, am happily complying with this as a form of prayer for Grace.
