I find this no worse than the rash of 'haunted' pocketwatches and clocks that have seen absolutely un-REAL prices on fleabay. Folks WILL buy just about anything, if you spin a good yarn.... Regards. Michaelson

What a fraud - but I admit a VERY well written and conceived fraud!

Michaelson, you are right about the igits on eBay who pay through the nose for stupid stuff. I sell on ebay regulary under the name "mfhsolo" and right now I am stunned as I am looking at my account and seeing THREE people watching a set of party napkins I put online. Yeah, you read right - A sealed set of party napkins with Star Wars logos on them from 1997. Starting bid - $1.

People really will buy anything...

Yeah MD, I saw that and just about passed out! That's way to much for a stupid corn chip! I could get my car painted for that price. Be funny to go into that guys house and say: Oh, cool, corn chips! And then pop it into your mouth! That's the most expensive chip in the world! What a laugh Deluxe!

Root.

Apparently the winning bidder is a Casino that buys crazy eBay auctions up for the 'free' advertising. They figure that they get so much coverage for buying wacky items on eBay, and their name gets mentioned so many times in the article, that it's cheaper than actually launching an advertising campaign. if you look at their other auctions they've also tended to buy advertising space on model's bodies. Weird.

Which reminds me...I need to sell my Palm III that summons Locomotive 661 from the deadly crash at Pine Bluff.

Go figure.

I get a kick out of the stuff Rob from www.cockeyed.com puts out.

Wow! Thanks for posting.
I nearly fell out of my chair laughing!
Gonna have to stop reading Fedora Lounge at work.
Really love the Q & A section at the bottom of the listing.
