I can't figure out for the life of me what market they think they are attempting to capture with this. It cheapens the brand and I would think will not impress the majority who actually spend money at Tiffany & Company.
I guess it's all about "youth," as to me it seems forced and, oddly, music video's circa late '80s, but my guess is Tiffany's wants to say - "we are not an old person's jewelry store, we are 'your' [read under 40 or so] jewelry store."
She's a pretty young woman, but so what, there are a lot of pretty young women, but only a few stars who lift off into an elegant universe. Audrey was one and I'm sure I'll get a hard time for this, but I think Channel chose wisely and got one when it put Keira Knightly in its ads. Like Audrey, her ethereal looks are timeless.
