I think some people here forget that class is more than dressing in vintage all the time. ;)

I think everybody will agree here that class is defined by elegance, grace, dignity and a natural moral and ethical character that an individual adheres too(not just the clothes).

I find people at the lounge are all these things and more.... respectful, well rounded, polite, hospitable and very all around classy people more so than any internet forum I've ever come across. Just because we associate clothes with class doesn't mean we don't associate with the people practicing it. Regardless, with or without the clothes Matt Deckard is a classy guy, the clothes just enhance that perception.

I have two reactions to the discussion of class. Firstly, my greatest love in vintage is the jazz hipster style. This is definitle not the upper class. Secondly, I choose to never use the term because it suggests that the upper class is somehow better hanany other. The term to have clas means to be of the upper class. The same with 'breeding." While I enjoy the clothing worn by some upper class people of the vintage era, I give no special consideration to them being of any given class.
