You're absolutely right!

You're right Bob: When you think of the profit margins being made and the fact that the actual crafts people get little to nothing, it make's one very upset.
I suppose its sort of like trying to get Starbucks to accept fair trade with the coffee growers. I just picked up the book "No Logo" to read. I'm sure I'll be adjusting some of my purchasing habits afterwards.
The more direct market representation the crafts people have the better.

This is a picture that should be on every parent's fridge. Everytime a kid does poorly in school because they just don't feel like doing well and says school is stupid: Point to this picture. This woman had to take this job because of her lack of opertunities and lack of education.

Shame on us for letting something like this happen.

I could go on and on about the infrastructure, or lack thereof, that is(n't) here in Ecuador.

A petroleum rich country where the average wage is $2,000.00 a year.

One big problem...they don't know how to fight the MAN!
