Thinking back, what album of 07 really left its mark on you?

The Waits album was indeed a cracker, Mr Spitfire! ( and not only for the great Ramones covers!)...

Peter, Bjorn and John put out a great album, as did Bat for Lashes, and Polyphonic Spree.

Oh... and of course Bruce Springsteen's lovely album, Magic.

Ah... I must learn an instrument.

Amy Winehouse, Back to Black. Terrific.

But I haven't heard the Tom Waits album yet, or many others, for that matter.

Amy Winehouse - Back To Black without a doubt.

Really liked Bat For Lashes and Jens Lekmans albums too.

I'm beginning to realize I don't buy a lot of new music. Because of this, the only album I can think of that has left its mark on me from last year is The Shepherd's Dog by Iron and Wine. It may very well be my favorite album by I and W as well. I recommend it to anyone that enjoys a genre that mixes folk with some rock.

The only two new music albums I bought this year - Daughtery's first album and Maroon 5's newest.

I like 'em both.
I dug the latest maroon5 but I must confess that Daughtery is on the same level of Nickleback to me. Generic, bland brooding jock rock. no offense

Aargh... I forgot Jarvis Cocker's amazing solo album. The man is a gem.
London life written from Paris, by a Sheffield lad. Perfect.
