Thanks CharlieH! That's a great website. I'm a big fan of the 1920s so naturally, John Held Jr. is one of my favorite illustrators. The link you posted on Held was one I had not seen before.

I believe they were quite accurate in observing that over time, the Shieks and Flappers began taking their fashion tips from Held, rather than vice versa. So he not only illustrated the era, he had a direct impact on the "look" of it.
