Agree, although I slightly prefer the Shinki.

Ps: GW does not "spec" the leather it receives from Shinki.

According to a conversation I had with John last year, he does. At least he specs that they don't roller it like they do for other makers. He asks that they keep it more naturally grained.

+1. I've never been happy with any of the photos I've posted here, ever. I do salute those who take photos of any quality when doing a review though. Takes some courage to put your face up here, and it's a courteous service to post pics in return for others' interest/advice. Mine have always been kind of rushed. Good news is I'm due for some epic backgrounds when I move in a few weeks. Nothing like you guys have though! Brilliant stuff so far.
I kind of hoped this thread would inspire shy/new members to come out of the woodwork and post jackets we've never seen before (as I was once new, and shy, too), but I don't think that's happening. You guys set the bar extremely high.

In that spirit, here's one of the rare few I have of my old ELC 352nd A2 on a visit back to England. It'd have to be around 2005? Before I was on TFL ...
Taken at Castleton at the medieval church built around 1085AD (I think). Note the little door and how small the average person was back then ...!
