I can not wait to see this movie.

I REALLLLLLLLLY Hope it isnt lame.

From IMDB: A drama based on the true story of Melvin B. Tolson, a professor at Wiley College Texas. In 1935, he inspired students to form the school's first debate team, which went on to challenge Harvard in the national championship.

Definitely looks good. There was another period film that Denzel was in. I can't remember the name, though. It might be "Devil in a Blue Dress".

Yes...yes...that was the one  Along with the amazing Don Cheadle

Im looking forward to this film because movies about academic equality and civil rights in the US utterly fascinate me.

If Denzel Washington is in a movie I figure it is worth a chance. If it is also set in the Golden Age then I gotta see it.

Sincerely,

Very good movie. There were times I felt something was unbalanced (story or characters, I'm not quite sure), like in another film very similar film called "Pride".

Just rented this movie and watched it for the first time today. Really enjoyed it. The fact that it takes place in my favorite time period (1928-1938) and starred one of my favorite actors Denzel Washington made it even better. Loved the clothes and the hats too.
