The Brill Building

The Brill Building is on the corner of 49th St and Broadway in New York. It holds Colony Records on the ground floor, a mecca for musicians. Upstairs all sorts of song writers and song pluggers have come and gone. Among others, "Kansas City" was written here. I did a small voice over here for a DVD in the Big Apple craze of 1937 this year. Cool, snazzy building, covered with well preserved Art Deco detail. Here is its story from the NY Times.
