* When quoting, only use what is necessary. Remove photos and text that doesn't pertain to your point.
* Don't post comments that should be private. Use the PM feature.
You don't talk down to people on a forum in a surly manner simply because you concede them the grace of cordiality.
Just because you talk trash with your homeys doesn't mean you can do the same to acquaintances either in the real world or online.
OK. We have been talking about the art of posting, some guidelines and goals to consider when sitting down to compose a post. Keep them coming!
Now lets consider some guidelines and goals when considering to initiate a thread.
For me, at this point, the rules of the powers that be are irrelevant. Why: Because what is going on here, imo, is a member generated set of guidelines and goals. We are setting them because we have decided that this is the way we want to communicate with each other.
If it coincides with the owner (a murmur from the audience of yeas & boos) great, If it doesn't, then at least we have given it some thought. In my book that is almost always fun.
