Maybe some of our experts can chime in...
At one time, I contemplated a dye job on a grey Cavanagh that I had tried to clean with poor results...the end result left me with a two-toned hat, the brim being a shade or two lighter than the crown. When I asked about dyeing it, I was advised that it was somewhat tricky to do and the results were not always satisfactory. May want to check in with Art or Fedora before running the risk of a splotchy hat! Good luck.
