I've owned leatherwares with both stitched and stitchless designs and it seems that stitchless wallets generally yield poor functional and durability characteristics. Of note is that the stitched wallet allows for more room since parts of the wallet do not need to be overlapped for gluing as in the case of the stitchless wallet. Obviously my sentiment is not shared with other people since stitchless wallet designs were quite popular from the 40s to mid 70s. I'd be interested if someone can shed some light on this unique vintage design and why they eventually disappear. Any stitchless wallet owner with a different opinion?
