Hi to all,
i've read on the forum a lot of thread about Panama Hats, but i'm afraid that i should misunderstood some information becouse my english languages and knowledge is very poor.
Here are my questions:

What is the better weaves the brisa one or tha llano?
What are the difference between them?
Why is one of these better than the other?

Thanks to all.

Regards, Riccardo.

Brisa, or Breeze, is a diamond like pattern on the Cuenca Panama Hat. It is a looser weave and is characterized with some inconsistency in the width of the paja...meaning that you can see some "thick" lines at time in the hat. I'll find a photo in a few days.

Llano, or Level, is a herrinbone-like weave. Is generally consistent throughout the hat and doesn't have the thick lines of the Brisa.

Llano is better, no doubt.

One weaver can whip a brisa hat out in a couple of hours.

Thanks!

Hi,
many thanks.
...so i've seen a lot of Borsalino's brisa weave...and some hatters sell it like the best panama hat...is it possible?
I will never buy a borsalino panama hat...it's would be a very stupid thing( i think)...from Ecuador to Italy...and here they blocked it...i prefer to buy Panama Hat directly from Ecuador!!!
I'm very proud of my Panama Hat, and my next will be...ok ok...i've just said it...my next will be one by Bob!

Thanks to all.
Regards.

Riccardo.
