Up for sale is a LOST WORLDS reproduction of the iconic AAF Russet Horsehide A-2 Flight Jacket size 36 (sample piece). Asking for $220 shipped CONUS.
This horsehide leather is chrome tanned medium weight at somewhere around 2.5-3.0 oz I believe, not super heavy but still feels solid while being more wearable. The color is actually the correct darker russet, not orangy or too red.
There’s some mismatch between front panels and some random creases coming from storage.
I bought it directly from them off sales page earlier this year, and I believe it’s a NOS sample piece from 1993. I worn it for 4 times and came to realize it’s a tab small on me, so it’s practically new and I’ll let it go cheap. Apart from existing creases the beautiful grains are just starting to develop and it takes more wear to break in.
Talon zippers, in excellent condition. Snap buttons work like charm. The knit cuffs and bottom hem and the lining is perfect All these materials made in the U.S. and exactly the same as their regular production ones.
Measurements:
—Pit-to-pit: 20
—Shoulders: 17.75
—Sleeves end of knit: 25 (without knit 22.5)
—Back length from bottom of collar seam to end of knit: 23.75 (without knit 21)
Asking for $220 shipped CONUS.
I haven’t got the chance to capture the color in natural sunlight, but it looks pretty much the same as this one sold recently, so you can use it for color reference:
