Catch and release.
Great buying experience from leathergato. Jacket is a good tshirt fit at my summer weight. I’m thinking it may be a skosh small in the fall when i am 10#s heavier and wearing a thicker shirt. I will post some fit pics tonight. In the mean time priced to sell at $850 shipped conus.

Do you think the sleeve length of 24 wears like a 24 or do you think it wears a bit longer or shorter?

Generally the shoulders will determine that …. What I mean is that my shoulders are 17.5 for me the 24 would be exactly that…. However, if you have 16.5 shoulders the sleeves will feel longer.

I was dreaming/hoping, the sleeves would feel longer. My shoulders are about 17.5 so I would expect it to feel the same, but some of these jackets measurements can wear so different despite the measurements may indicate otherwise. I really like the pattern of this jacket.

I didn’t mean to overstep my boundaries, and you’re correct that what I said was simply my own opinion. The cut could certainly be different from any other jacket I’ve ever owned, so I understand that my experience may not apply here.

If you’d like, I’m happy to remove my comment.

That said, this is a public forum, not eBay, and part of participating in a forum is that people may offer different opinions or perspectives. If you’re looking for completely dedicated messaging without any other discussion or distractions, a public forum may not be the ideal place to advertise.

Did you read the eddie haskel sticky?

Nice reference. If you’re suggesting that my response was some kind of insincere Eddie Haskell act, I think that’s a pretty unnecessary and somewhat sneaky jab. I wasn’t being insincere or trying to flatter you. I was simply acknowledging your point and trying to keep what was, frankly, a very minor issue from becoming a bigger deal than it needed to be. You made it clear that you didn’t appreciate my comment, and I acknowledged that. I even offered to remove it. There really wasn’t much more to it until you decided to turn it into something bigger. If you disagree with what I said, that’s perfectly fine. We can have different opinions without turning a simple jacket discussion into a personal exchange.

The eddie haskell refers to a sticky in the rules of the classified section named “eddie haskells zip it” that reads:

The classified forum is for members to list their for sale items or desired purchases. As such, please respect other members efforts to do so. Here on out, we will vigorously delete comments calling out sellers or buyers for their pricing decisions, their descriptions, or anything else which is out of place. We're getting a number of complaints from members telling us they can't post a simple item for sale without another member coming for them. Ask questions of sellers, yes, but keep it to that. If you don't want to buy something, just keep scrolling

I was just pointing you to the rules since you seem misinformed about the workings of the forums. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Not my place perhaps, but it really seems to me like @Shawnziee was just sincerely trying to be helpful and wrote a general comment that I probably wouldn’t have hesitated to share myself — not anything that implied knowledge of your specific jacket. He was also very respectful when it was taken the wrong way.

I understand the point that this is the forum’s marketplace rather than discussion board, but it’s also one of its most active areas and a bit of discussion in the comments here doesn’t seem out of the ordinary, not to mention the fact that it gives one’s listing a free bump to the top.

Everyone’s entitled to their own opinion on how things should operate here, but it bums me out to see two longstanding members whose contributions I value get in some petty squabble. Maybe we’re all just tense because the world is ending!

The only people whose opinion matters on how things should operate are the moderators. Their house. Their rules. I’m only asking that we all behave like gentlemen and follow them.
If @Edward or @Peacoat would like to chime in that would be great. If i am misinterpreting the rules i will apologize.
