He's better off. That is really a sad tale but refusing to speak to him is truly ridiculous.

I agree. It's awful about losing the money, but what a red flag! At least he knows what kind of person she actually is before he marries her. Let's hope he comes around before he buys her another ring...

Yes, may of been cheap in the long run. Could of cost him as much as Paul McCartney down the road. 25 million pounds or $54.03 million USD.
I guess LOVE is not all you need to some.

If she won't talk to him for all the trouble he went to, well he should get a new girlfriend or future wife.

Agree with you there, certainly makes her sound a "material" type. Whatever happened to the "thought that counts"?

Poor chappy.

yes, the romance of his effort is worth far more than the ring

and seriously, living in Hackney, a GBP 6,000 ring is not a good idea

It must have been a good size balloon.
When I was a kid I tied one of those turbo whistle rings to a balloon I got at the carnival thinking it would take off, it went straight to the ground and this was a 16- 18 inch balloon. I would think it would take a 20 plus inch balloon to haul off a $12,000 $$ ring.

Absolutely. My last boyfriend used to throw diamonds off of my balcony just so I could watch them sparkle on the way down...
