Well, as I'm new here, I don't know how popular showering the forum with photos will be, but here's a few of mine.

First, three tattered old Ronson Varaflames:

And my daily driver, in a smaller ("medium") size:

Another fifties Ronson model:

And a Dunhill pipe tool and a (probably Russian) cigarette holder, both in silver:

Here's a later ST Dupont, but quite art deco in style:

I'll post a few earlier ones as soon as I get around to photographing them...

Ok, here is the ever present Ronson Crown:

Ever available out here for $5 or less, that lighter does a yeoman's duty.

Regards,

J

P.S. The pipes cost more. ;)
I remember those lighters, my parents and aunt/uncle both had the same thing. I think my mom may still have it[huh]

P.S. I know the pipes are more;) I used to smoke pipes and I only smoked freehands and Meerschaums. My tobacco was very dark and wet [a chocolate flavor loved it] and it would have the meerschaums go from white, right past golden to a very dark brown. I also would smoke the meerschaums before they cooled which turns out to be not a good Idea:rolleyes:

I like your taste dostacos! :)
Mine is not the vintage model, but the design is "vintage" inspired.

Yep, smoking pipes until they are hot burns them out. Check out the top on the pipe on the right. Pretty crispy. That was before I acquired it. [huh]

I remember those! They were ubiquitous in the 50's. Sometimes you had to press on the short end with your thumb to get enough force to make the lighter light. Pretty cool. I think there's an old Dunhill among the boxes of stuff that belonged to my Dad.

Although I don't smoke I often carry an Imco (http://www.sportsmansguide.com/cb/cb.asp?a=80062) lighter for burning off loose threads or for whatever other need comes up. This has been a very dependable lighter and sort of a unique design.

I have one of those and I LOVE it. Even more than a Zippo. The damn thing has been with me everywhere-Maine, Pennsylvania, LA, Mexico, Canada, even stolen by a thieving girl for about 6 months before yet another girl stole it back for me. Those are some good lighters, too. You can cruise at about 80 mph with the windows down and light a cigarette, with one hand. Very handy...

Lost my lighter on a flight
airport confiscated it.

I feel for your loss - don't they normally give you an opportunity to put it in an envelope and mail it to yourself, or something?

Here's a sterling table-model Varaflame:

Old, reliable, sterling Zippo with Art Deco engraving.
Carbon-fibre cigar case (uber-modern, I know [huh] ) with obligatory cigar (you never know when you might need to celebrate something! ;) )
Button front lounge shirt.
