Could you get a close-up of the end of the vest pockets? Looks like they have been tacked in a peculiar way.

Rudie, it even has a large pocket inside the vest - and note the huge pocket in the lower jacket liner.
I wonder what the owner wanted to carry around with him... comb? Mirror? Cigarette case? Nose powder?

I like the large interior waistcoat pocket. It's perfect for your wallet etc if you aren't wearing a jacket.

I am currently researching 'wide boys' suits from literature of the period. That suit is wider than wide!

Maybe the inside waistcoat pocket is for hiding a cut throat razor!

The interior vest pockets do not seem to be so rare on older suits. Have seen it in various Swedish 20's suits. The pocket is for carrying a flask, of course.

Yes, no doubt this was quite common and I can well imagine that a flask and a bag with tobacco were among the stuff carried around.
But the pinkish suit has quite a pocket overkill (6 on the vest, 6 on the jacket and 5 on the trousers - yes it has two rear pockets plus fob pocket).

Anyway, seriously I am sure if one is thorough in searching (or wasteful enough in his time ), one can find good stuff almost anywhere.

Well, I'm pretty sure the Berlin area has been thoroughly grazed by now. Having a car would probably turn out to be pretty useful (I don't). And not being too long and slim could help as well...

Heathered medium weight brown wool. Simple suit front but pleated belt-back.
The wide, straight trousers have interesting detailing and a big yoked back.

Waist has been let out to fit 38 R, the original size is about 36 R.
The trouser legs are open and would be cuffed.

Yes, I think it will. You've just answered my PM question about the jacket waist. I'll need to alter it back to fit my 36R - but what an amazing suit!

Another vintage dresser without a car... I don't have a car either and use one only when I have to, which is maybe twice a year.

Bloody hell!!!! These suits just keep coming! Fastuni, you have a golden touch. That is a wonderful suit (although I think a fly should have more than three buttons).

It's amazing - there are more German suits being posted on the FL than any other nationality. Who'd have thought that a few years ago!

Rudie, He's a magician. In the last year, he's managed to find me more clothes in Bavaria than I can find in England!

I've basically given up trying to find stuff around here (Berlin), and the stuff you find on the internet usually fetches more than I'm willing (read: able) to pay. Then, of course, there's still the problem with the available sizes, but that's my very own lamento and I'm not going to sing it again here and now. Oops...seems I just did...
