Shoes, looking for something stylish, and versatile

The UPS guy has been here 3x this week with shoes from Zappos but I still don't have what I am looking for. Basically, a versatile all around leather shoe that will work with khakis and jeans. A shoe comfortable enough for me to walk my dogs in (3-miles/day). Nice rich brown, captoe would be great.

Suggestions?

I wear these just about everyday for work and they also go with pretty much any combination of trouser:

They are Grenson Fred boots, they are not cheap at all, but are very well made. There are plenty of places on the net that will sell and deliver.

I like them, not sure I could pull off wearing them, but I like them. In fact, there are several styles on their website that are nice.

Any others out there?
