Sewing project:- A circle skirt

My 1940's skirt id on hold for a while, any way the lady who was going to make it showed me a circle skirt she had made to sell at a vintage fair
I was mighty impressed and I started looking around at them and got me thinking about them
I found this video from a lady who made one on you tube

Any way I popped out and bought this fabric today to send down to the lady who's going to make it for me , BTW the mark across the fabric the zip
Am I right in thinking I am right with the vintage look to the fabric?
