I was wondering if anyone has been to this before? What is it like? Is it worth it? Are the prices very good? Selection? Is there a crazy line to get in? TIA
All I know is that at the factory sale, you can get jackets and stuff that didn't pass Schott quality control, for much less than what you'd normally pay for it. Schott calls these factory seconds. Some eBay sellers quickly grab these and pass them on for a profit on the bay, without stating that these are irregular items.
I think they also sell lots of samples and prototypes. I've seen some interesting, and some very cool Schott jackets on EBay that came from these sales. Models from Japan not available in US etc.
At least for men's leather items there si about 25% off. Not a big deal ( from 900 to 700) given that there are no interesting models. There are lots of better leather jackets to buy at 700.
For ladies the discount % is higher.
Thanks for the info, it is much appreciated. I've always considered going to this but I think I'll pass. I get the feeling it would be crazy busy and I'd probably be rushed into buying something. Does Schott ever have internet sales other than a discounted random size? Those seem to be the only sales I've seen from them.
I have noticed on eBay Drifter Productions has a good price on some HH 641s in decent sizes however not 40 which is what I want.
