Schott 688 1 month review

I ended up buying the Schott 688 in heavy steerhide back in late September. However, I started wearing it about 1.5 months ago. On the first few wears it was a mini workout. I felt the resistance of the hide. After getting through the first two weeks I can finally say its molding to me slowly. I'm curious to see how things will turn out if I keep wearing it.

Pros
Love the look of the single rider jacket
Amazing Color and Smell
The cut seems to work well with me and I like the side adjustable tabs

Cons
The stiffness makes it uncomfortable early on and it will be a process to break in
The cuff zips should have been fully guested vs having a flap
Wish it had a two way zipper as sitting makes jacket ride up due to stiffness

I added some pics for fit reference. I'm about 5'9 and dropped some weight down to 155 lbs with a 41" chest. There is a bit of room in the body to allow me to wear a sweater or sweatshirt.

Oh wow, that might be the best looking new Schott I've ever seen. Minus the wind flap.
Fits you very well in my opinion, should look even better as it breaks in more.

Thanks! I really like it so far, but I've only owned a Schott 654 as my other leather jacket for the last 10 years. This is definitely up there as a keeper. I can't seem to find anyone who owns this jacket broken in as of yet. I believe it came out over 2 years ago now as well. So it's not brand new by any means. I'll keep everyone posted.
