Not the cheesy "sporty" hat of later years, or the Levine hats version from the 20th Century. This is the original Knox Vagabond, raw edge brim, no lining. I bought this beauty from an estate about 20 years ago. Its a collector's hat, in original condition. The name "Knox Vagabond" is stamped on the sweat in gold. And another old time touch: the name of the store that sold it, DH Green, Kent Ohio, is as well. The light brown felt is wonderfully soft. The bronze ribbon sets it off nicely. But the hat, like most of us who have gotten along in years, is not perfect. The sweat as you can see has some wear at the edge. But there is no splitting or cracking. When I got the hat, it was clear the owner had been pinching the crown too much for too long. I had Graham Thompson (back when Optimo worked on other hats) raise the crown so that the wear on the felt wasn't visible (its now inside the top bash). While worn, the creases did not go through the felt. There is also some discoloration on the ribbon (all of this is in the pictures). Asking $165.
