Sale ending: New Akubra Sydney size 62 = 7-3/4 at old price

Well I bought an Akubra Sydney on the last day of the noggintops sale, but I don't like the way it looks on me. I plan to send it back, but thought first I would see if anyone on the Lounge wants it at the old price. I am asking for what I paid plus actual shipping ($99.64 plus cost of shipping method of your choice). Current price of this hat new is $130 plus shipping.

I don't have a paypal account at the moment, so payment method will have to be figured out. If you are in the NYC area, I can meet you and take $100 cash and you will save on shipping.

Too Big!

Carldelo, how was the fit. Did it fit properly or was the size off. I recently won a Akubra Boomerang 61 and it fit my 60 LO head just fine.

Good question - it was a tad loose on me, which I have to say doesn't happen that often. It is slightly larger than my modern 7-3/4 Stetson Chatham. I think the fit strip will take care of it. My understanding is that Akubras tend to shrink with time, although I have no experience with them before this hat. I will try the lid with the fit strips tonight when I get home and post the result.

For potential buyers, if you're not sure of your size or think the fit might be dodgy, maybe you should buy direct from a retailer, as I currently have a 'no return' policy.
