re-ribboned panama

[RBH]

After seeing this pic of SharpToys... [hope you dont mine me using your photo]

I wanted to change my colonial style panama to a thin ribbon.
Here is how it was ...

It really takes on a good shape when it is on. I hope to add a shot of me wearing it sometime tomorrow.

Thin ribbon bows

I've been struggling with thin ribbon bows. First, I'm not thrilled with what comes today off the western hat shelf. But what to do? Any tutorial on the art of the thin ribbon around? Variations?

Davidson, drop DeanGlen a PM, he has had great luck making bows, I think most if not all have been thin ribbons.

I must say, it does look like it was made for that hat! A little water on that end piece that sticks up a bit, or a quick shot of steam, will get it to lay down flat on the brim. Nice job, R!

I like the little extra that the bow style Dean made adds to the panama, kinda kicks a inexpensive hat up a notch or two.
