I didn´t know where to put this, but I need to put it somewhere - it´s one of the funniest things I´ve seen in ages - RAF report on accidents during November 1917.
(.pdf file)

I especially like these sentences:
"This improvement, no doubt, is the result of experienced pilots with over 100 hours in the air forming the backbone of all the units"
"An error of skill on the part of the pilot in not being able to control a machine with a wide speed band of 10MPH between top speed and stalling speed"

Those were the times when aviation was an adventure...
I don´t know how interesting it is for you, who are not aviation fans, but still... I needed to post this.

Hilarious!

I seem to remember that this "report" was circulating amongst the AAF community many years ago. It is, I suspect, definitely tounge-in-cheek.

"An error of skill on the part of the pilot in not being able to control a machine with a wide speed band of 10MPH between top speed and stalling speed"

PRICELESS!
