I'm looking online at what an eBay seller is calling new with tags (NOS?) 1955 vintage Levis denim shirt with the sawtooth pocket flaps and pearl snap buttons. Price with shipping would be slightly more than double what a new modern version of the same shirt would cost me retail. Questions:
1. How can I tell if this is really authentic vintage?
2. How much would it differ from the modern shirt in weight, details, craftsmanship, etc. (enough to justify the price?)
3. I know standard sizes have changed over the years. I usually wear an XL in modern shirts (or occasionally a large if the sizes run big), so assuming this is truly vintage NOS, what size would I likely need?
