purchasing a fedora in europe

Hello to all from far-away Greece! I 've been developing a growing passion for hats in the last few years, owning two panama hats made from a local hatter, a now damaged Panizza fedora bought in Rome and a black Stetson Cordele bought in Luxembourg. As I am not to travel abroad until late spring, I would like to buy another fedora for my collection, probably a medium or dark grey one, which is easier to match with the odd jackets I like to wear. Unfortunately, felt hats (and summer hats for men) are entirely out of fashion and most local hatters have closed; the ones still operating are neither able to make a decent fedora, and the last shop importing from abroad is now closed too.

That's why I would like to ask for advice about purchasing online. I've browsed around having the Stetson Cordele as a model (unfortunately it doesn't come in grey) with a budget of about 100 Euros. I ve visited the Christy's website where I found their adventurer/poet model interesting, but the only grey in which it's available is silver grey which I find too light a colour for my liking. Do you have any other suggestions? Is it possible, for example, to buy an Akubra hat online in a decent price from a UK, French or German shop?

I've never purchased any hats online, since I prefer to try them on - escpecially with my small head.

So, without any recommendation from me, this website in Germany often pops up in searches etc.:

As to whether they are any good or whether their prices are competitive, I can't comment, but maybe you'll find something.

[EDIT] By the way. welcome to the FL! :)

Thank you very much for your reply and your welcoming! Well, if prefer to try the on too, that's why I ve hesitated so far, but after weeks of searching in downtown Athens at all the specialised shops, I realised there was no chance of me finding what I am looking for.
I will check it out!
