Possibly considering perhaps buying first panama in Spain?

I'm traveling to Spain this Monday to visit a friend and in general relax for a couple of weeks. The weather is quite warm and I figure it might be a good opportunity to purchase a panama. I'll most certainly be in Madrid as my plane arrives and departs from there but other then that the trip is rather up in the air. Any stores I should check out there and perhaps a specific brand I should avoid and one I should look for? For now I'm just looking for something serviceable and around 100 euros or less as I'll probably just buy a custom later down the line, if this is even a possibility. Thanks for reading.

From what I've been able to gander, Signes is a distinctly Spanish straw and felt millinery company. They're located in the Southeast, but may have distribution around the country as well.

If you go to the Plaza Major in Madrid (as you certainly should) you will find that there are 1 or 2 specialist hat shops among the little shops that line the Plaza.

Oh! While you're on the Plaza Major if you feel a bit peckish you can get some very tasty Bocadillos right here,,,
