A coworker and I are pondering whether the military uniforms seen in the very brief battlefield sequence of the move Tommy (from the album of the same name by The Who) are in fact WWI or WWII period.

I know it's obscure and possibly off topic here, but can anyone shed some light on this?

Thank you and Merry Christmas.

Can't even remember any battlefield sequence from Tommy. From The Wall / Pink Floyd yes - but not from Tommy.
If you could post some pics it would surely help.

Based on the plot synopsis I just read, it should be WWII. Very early war uniforms would bear a lot of resemblence to WWI gear, though.

Thanks to you and MikeBravo. The story is set during WWII but there seems to be some question as to the period authenticity of the uniforms. I don't have access to imagery and it's been a long, long time since I've seen the movie, hence, the question. Of course, there may not be enough detail in the move to make a judgment about such a thing, but the question presented itself.

Again, thanks for the response.
