How much are these worth?

I think both work.

I am unsure. They were used in a factory my dad owned so they might have been installed there into the table some way.

He made lether pants and stuff and still does some small thing and repairs with atleast one of them.

Thanks for the replies.

Great old machine. --Will probably work flawlessly with a little cleaning and oil--those old Singers were built like tanks. I have a domestic model from 1952 that I got from a thrift store for $10. Apparently it had been kept in a barn or something, as it was full of dirt and wasps had actually built a nest inside of the mechanics in the front of it. I cleaned it out and oiled it, and now it works great. Actually used it to make a pair of vintage style selvage jeans. I would have loved to have had an industrial machine like yours though, as the heavy denim was a bit of a challenge for mine at a few points

Anyhow, check out this link if you want a specific date on yours http://www.singerco.com/support/serial_numbers.html

I think the one you've got is not supposed to have a tabletop around it-- the way the "arm" extends makes it easier to sew parts such as waistbands and hems, as it allows the garment to be rotated around the point of sewing.

The guys at Rising Sun (http://www.risingsunjeans.com/) make their wares on old Singers. Here's video: http://http://putthison.com/post/231001982/episode-1-denim --Pretty cool stuff-- even though their jeans will run you about $500!

Thanks for the post and information.
I will look up the links later tonight.

I talked to dad and those singers were never mounted at the table
it was newer machines that I remembered.

He said those 2 are shoemakers sewing machines and thats why they look like that,
not for making clothes but they are perfect for small leather work like
saddle bags, belts and wallets stitching and repair.

Singer

I have an old Singer 15-89 I got for free back in the 90s, it had no top so I bought one this year, cost $80.00, worth every penny! It will go through any thing. Take good care of yours, they will be running long after all of us are gone!
