I recently posted on "distressing" a suede jacket. The more I think about it, the less I want to risk ruining the jacket. I'm thinking of just weatherproofing it, and leaving it as-is as far as texture, color, etc. I decided to start a new thread, since it's a new direction for the project.

How well do suede protector sprays work? Any thoughts on Pecard's spray? Thanks.

I think that was discussed in your other thread. I have no experience with Pecards spray, only their leather dressings, which are excellent. Usually these things are the same as the major brands and only re-packaged. I would not be shocked to learn that it's just ScotchGuard or the like. But I suppose it's possible that they make their own...
